EA Sports made the massive announcement yesterday that a free World Cup add-on is coming to those with FIFA 18 on Xbox One and Playstation 4, when 29 May rolls around.

It will contain the official 2018 World Cup mode, a custom FIFA World Cup tournament, as well as FIFA World Cup Ultimate Team - the latter mode coming with a slew of all-new icons who have lit up the tournament over the years.

All 32 qualified nations are on the game for you to play out the tournament yourself, while you can even add in the likes of Chile, Italy, Netherlands and the USA with a Custom tournament if you fancy.

With EA having all the necessary nations and their players in the mode, it means 12 new national teams will be coming to FIFA 18 as part of it.

For starters, surprise package Panama will be featured after qualifying for their first World Cup, as will their fellow CONCACAF representative Costa Rica.

Croatia and Serbia are to be drafted in after not being deployed in the normal game when it was released in September.

CONMEBOL's Peru qualified via the play-offs and they will now be in the mix, while Japan, South Korea and Iran from Asia are also coming to the FIFA franchise.

Of all the teams to have qualified from CAF, only Mo Salah's Egypt were previously a playable national team on FIFA 18.

But because of the extension, it means players can now tear it up with Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal and Nigeria. The thought of doing bits with Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho in the spicy home kit is pretty incredible.

With all 12 Stadiums being used from 14 June onwards are all featured, the official trophy and match-ball, in addition to the sensational graphics and broadcasting courtesy of the Frostbite engine, the game provides the perfect way to get geared up for the real thing in Russia.
