Les Herbiers are 13th in the third tier of French football and could be relegated into the fourth tier on Friday evening, but tonight's Coupe De France Final will definitely make up for what has been a hugely disappointing season.

The 'David vs Goliath' clash is incredible when you look at the stats. Les Herbiers play in the 5,000 capacity Stade Massabielle and only average 1,500 per home game while the riches of PSG are there for all to see.

They may be a small town in western France that has a population of just over 15,000, but they are all in attendance tonight, according to the BBC.

To further underline the enormous difference in stature, the French minnows have a £1.77million playing budget. That would pay for just over two weeks worth of wages for the world's most expensive footballer, Neymar.

The French cup has a knack for throwing up surprise packages, with Nimes (1996), Amiens (2001) and Quevilly (2012) all three third division sides to have got to the final the cup but ultimately fell at the final hurdle.

Just check out the thousands of fans before kick-off, this evening.

Les Herbiers, who are currently ninth in the French third division, defeated the likes of Auxerre and Lens to progress to the final.

They eventually reached their dream after beating fellow third division side Chambly in the semi's as they now prepare for the biggest fixture in their history at the Stade de France.

Les Herbiers are out to make history but their manager Stephane Masala is incredibly pessimistic and is merely telling his players to enjoy the occasion.

PSG is a team that makes us dream," he said in a press conference previewing the match.

"I'm a young coach, I'm here to learn, as are my players and in this sense I hope that PSG will teach us a lesson.

"My message to the players will be to have the courage to look PSG players in the eye and then have fun."

If Les Herbiers do the unthinkable and beat Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and co, it will be their third trophy in their history and will see them qualify for the Europa League next season.
