Mr Mourinho, are you watching?

Inter Milan managed to remain unbeaten in Serie A on Monday night despite a scare against Verona, as winger Ivan Perisic managed to save Luciano Spalletti's side from a potential upset.

Perisic, who was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, scored a screamer against Fabio Pecchia's outfit after a penalty from substitute Giampaolo Pazzini put them back in the tie.

Here is the Croatian's 67th-minute strike to extend Inter Milan's unbeaten start to 11 matches.

This isn't the first time Perisic has impressed in front of goal of late. Back in September, Inter Milan hosted SPAL in Serie A and they defeated the visitors 2-0, maintaining their 100% league record.

Mauro Icardi gave Inter the lead from the spot, before Perisic sealed all three points with a thunderous volley.

After a brilliant tackle on Icardi it appeared Inter's attack was thwarted. That was until a beautifully lofted ball found it's way to the Croatian who smashed home a sensational volley.

Widespread reports claimed Inter were holding out for £48.5 million for Perisic, a price United did not want to pay.

He was touted to be United's fourth signing of the summer in a window where they bought Lukaku, Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Yet a move for Perisic never materialised and the latest news would suggest that United will have added difficulty trying to sign him if they decide to go back in for him.

Back in September, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport, the 28-year old's proposed new Nerazzurri contract included a massive €70 million (£64 million) release clause, which will likely deter United in their pursuit.

The move to add a whopping release clause to Perisic's new deal is being called an 'anti-Man United' clause as a result of United's courting of Inter's No.44 over the summer window.

Jose Mourinho has already missed out on Antoine Griezmann thanks to the upholding of Atletico Madrid's transfer ban. Do you think Manchester United should move for the Croatian in the next transfer window?
