Switzerland Knock France Out Of Euro 2020 After Dramatic Penalty Shoot-Out

Switzerland sensationally beat France 5-4 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw to set up a Euro 2020 quarter-final with Spain.

Kylian Mbappe missed the all-important spot-kick as tournament favourites France are dumped out of the competition.

Mario Gavranovich, Fabian Schar, Manuel Akanji, Ruben Vargas and Admir Mehmedi all successfully converted their penalties for Switzerland to secure a famous victory.

Paul Pogba, Olivier Giroud, Marcus Thuram and Presnel Kimpembe had converted their penalties until Mbappe missed from 12-yards.

Swiss goalkeeper Yann Sommer produced a brilliant save to deny the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

As for the actual match, Haris Seferovic opened the scoring in the 15th minute. The Swiss then fluffed their lines from the spot with Hugo Lloris saving Ricardo Rodríguez's penalty.

Karim Benzema subsequently cancelled out Seferovic's header with a superb goal. He then put his side in the lead two minutes later.
