Study Shows Which Clubs Have Spent The Most In Transfer Fees To Assemble Their Squads

A new study shows which clubs have spent the most in transfer fees to assemble their star-studded squads.

CIES Football Observatory have crunched the all-important numbers to determine their findings, with Manchester City topping the list.

Pep Guardiola's side beat cross-town rivals Manchester United to top the list, with both Manchester clubs spending in excess of €1 billion to assemble their squads.

The Blues have spent an enormous €1,080 billion while The Red Devils have shelled out a massive €1,023 billion.

Despite boasting Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, who both commanded monstrous transfer fees - Paris Saint-Germain enter the list at number three.

PSG have spent a big €939 million on their squad ahead of Real Madrid, who have splashed €787 million.

Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea make up the top five, spending €780 million.

Liverpool, Juventus, Arsenal, Barcelona and Tottenham complete the top ten.

German giants Bayern Munich are ranked outside of the top ten along with the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Inter Milan.
