"AND SOLSKJAER HAS WON IT!"

Manchester United will commemorate the 20 year anniversary of their Champions League final win over Bayern Munich with a special legends match, which will include none other than Sir Alex Ferguson.

After recovering from life-saving surgery to tackle a brain hemorrhage back in May, the 77-year old made his return to Old Trafford in September and has regularly been in the stands for United games ever since.

The event is on the 26 May - exactly 20 years till the day since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored that famous last minute winner to secure the treble - a standalone feat in English football.

Solskjaer could well be permanent United manager by the time he pulls on the shirt again, while the likes of David Beckham, Ryan Giggs and Teddy Sheringham, among other heroes from the historic game, are expected to back in United colours for the huge game.

The event is for a good cause too, as all proceeds will go towards for the Manchester United Foundation charity.

"I'm really looking forward to what will be a special day at Old Trafford," Ferguson said. "It will be great to catch up with some familiar faces and a great opportunity to support the work of Manchester United Foundation."

Sir Alex's first appearance at Old Trafford after his health scare came in September for the game against Wolves and he was greeted the most incredible reception.

Before kick-off the club encouraged fans attending the match to be in their seats for 14:45 BST and it made for a wonderful moment for all involved, especially Ferguson, who won 38 trophies during a remarkable 26 year spell at the club.

We can't wait for this charity match in May.
