Ronaldinho has requested a football and a room to play in while under house arrest in Paraguay.

The legendary Brazilian spent 32 days in prison before being released after their $1.6 million (£1.3 million) bail was paid.

He's now serving time at the luxury four-and-a-half star Hotel Palmaroga in Asuncion, Paraguay's capital city.

And the 40-year-old asked the hotel staff for a ball and a room to play in with his wish granted by hotel manager Emilio Yegros.

"Ronaldinho does not lose his temper and he alternates his conversations with jokes," he said.

"He seems like a good guy. He never loses his smile, neither does his brother. His countenance changed from the first day, when he arrived tense and stressed."

Yegros added: "We have given him a hall of about 30 metres by 15 for his kickabouts."

It's said that the ex-Barcelona star will be enjoying the comfort of the very best suite, complete with a four-poster bed, five-star room service, 55-inch TV and whirlpool bath.

Some of the facilities are out of bounds due to the coronavirus outbreak but 'R10' will still have his own balcony, which comes with stunning views of the Bay of Asuncion.

The hotel, built in the 19th century, are reportedly offering discounts on rooms due the global pandemic - with the presidential suite said to be £87-per-night - considerably cheaper than it would normally be.

Irrespective of the cost, Ronaldinho and his brother will no doubt be enjoying freedom and comfort after being locked up for just over a month.
