Real Madrid have shared a video to show fans how the new Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will look after its whopping £500 million revamp.

The club were granted permission in March to begin the major operation, but they've been given the green light to resume the construction amid Spain's lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The European football powerhouse have released a video which shows how the stadium will look with a retractable roof and a stunning 360-degree video screen.

It also shows the leisure and entertainment facilities that will be introduced as part of the rebuild as well as the luxurious private boxes.

The 73-year old stadium will be extended over 66,000 square metres and it's reported that shops, restaurants and a hotel will be added.

However, the capacity of the iconic venue will be reduced by ONE to 80,242.

Real Madrid have claimed the refurbishment will be completed by October 2022.

Club president Florentino Perez said in 2016: "With this agreement, we will start a process of modernisation and transformation that will convert the stadium into an avant-garde architectural icon.

"This stadium will act as an economic and touristic invigorator and will contribute to strengthening the image of our city."
