The likes of Steven Gerrard, Luis Garcia and Dirk Kuyt put on the famous Liverpool jersey once more this afternoon, but club legend Xabi Alonso was the biggest talking point when he made a massive blunder in his own penalty box.
A selection of Liverpool legends came up against Bayern Munich on Saturday afternoon and in a moment of madness, Alonso forgot he was in a red jersey and passed it straight to Alexander Zickler, who headed home from 12 yards.

In a match held for the Liverpool Foundation, the brilliant Alonso went on to score a free-kick for Bayern when he eventually swapped shirts as fans watched a high scoring game at Anfield

It was a fitting 5-5 result as the likes of Gerrard and Alonso combined once again - a moment that left Liverpool fans drooling in the stands.

In other news, Alonso is the latest footballer to be involved in a tax scandal, with the former Real Madrid and Bayern Munich midfielder being accused of defrauding the country €2 million worth of taxes.

The Spanish prosecutor said in a statement on Wednesday that it was looking for a jail sentence of five years and a fine of €4 million for the illegal acts that took place between 2010 and 2012.
The prosecutor also called for the same sentencing for Alonso's financial advisor Ivan Zaldua Azcuenaga.
So far none of the players charged have done any time behind bars.
