In his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Manchester United, Pep Guardiola claimed that Paul Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, invited him to make an offer for the Frenchman.
His words certainly caused a stir online, but days later, Paul Pogba proved his doubters wrong against after a wonderful second half display against Manchester City helped Manchester United to a famous win at the Etihad.
After the full-time whistle, he went straight over to the Manchester United support and made a very clear point - that he is fully committed to playing for the club.

He was heard saying "don't believe the papers" as he pointed towards his badge.
Moments later, Manchester City boss Guardiola approached the former Juventus midfielder and had a few choice words for Pogba, who was previously linked with a move to the Etihad before he joined Old Trafford for a record fee at the time.
Guardiola congratulated the 25 year-old after his heroics during the game. He told Manchester City's official Twitter account the following after the incident:

"I congratulated him about the result." he said.
Perhaps Guardiola's latest press conference about an offer from agent Mino Raiola to play for City spurred him on in the second half.
Before it was announced that he congratulated him, though, fans had other ideas about what was said between the pair.
