He gave his side the lead in unreal fashion. A Boro defender attempted to clear his lines though he merely lofted the ball into the air. Evans then watched the ball like a hawk, before caressing it with a side-foot volley in the top corner.

United eventually secured all three important league points courtesy of another Evans strike, beating the visitors 2-1.

Chris Wilder's charges remain three points off sixth spot aka the final Play-Off place, with just four games left in the season.

Next up for the 'Blades', in-form Millwall, then Birmingham followed by Preston, while finishing their campaign at Bristol City.
