Celtic captain Scott Brown showed his support for Glen Kamara during a classy post-match interview following this weekend's Old Firm derby.

The 35-year-old showed solidarity with the Rangers midfielder, who suffered alleged racist abuse on Thursday in the Europa League, ahead of the Scottish Premiership clash at Celtic Park.

He walked into Rangers' half before embracing the player in a touching moment.

Following the full-time whistle, where both sides earned a point after a 1-1 draw, Brown said it was "disgusting" what happened to Kamara in Rangers' clash against Slavia Prague.

Kamara says he was racially abused by Ondrej Kudela during the game, while Gers boss Steven Gerrard backed the midfielder and trusts his claims of being racially abused.

"It is disgusting what has happened, it does not matter if it is a Rangers player or Celtic player it should never be part of the game and it shows we stand with them." Brown said in his post-match interview.

"It's just that little bit of respect for a fellow professional as well."

If you didn't catch the game on Thursday night, a heated scuffle broke out after Slavia player Ondrej Kudela allegedly racially abused Rangers midfielder Kamara.

Footage from the game clearly shows Kudela whisper something into the Finnish player's ear, covering up his mouth while doing so.

In the clip below, Rangers captain Connor Goldson can be seen chasing the offending player, while Bongani Zungu tells the official that the Prague player used the word 'monkey' when talking to Kamara.

Later that evening, Czech side's president Jaroslav Tvrdik took to social media to categorically deny any racist abuse took place, and later claimed that Kudela was physically attacked in the tunnel after full-time.

Slavia Prague have since filed a criminal complaint for an alleged "brutal" assault on Ondrej Kudela after Thursday's game against Rangers.

Kamara, meanwhile, has released a statement of his own, where he has opened up about what Kudela allegedly said to him on the pitch.
