Eugenie Bouchard's date with a superfan from Twitter has apparently snowballed into something much more serious.
The Canadian, who reached the final of Wimbledon in 2014 and has appearances in the semi-finals of the French and Australian Open to her name, famously bet a fan on social media that the New England Patriots wouldn't beat the Atlanta Falcons in last year's Super Bowl.
The stake on the bet? If the fan, John Goehrke won, Bouchard would have to go on a date with him.
Initially, he kind of dared her to go out with him if the NFL's New England Patriots beat the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl - despite the Pats being far, far behind in the game at the time
if patriots win we go on a date?

Of course, because Tom Brady is a cyborg sent from the future to destroy the hopes and dreams of every other team in the NFL not called the New England Patriots, the Patriots won. Then Genie accepted the loss and the pair went to a basketball game - and the rest is social media dating history.
That's right, sports fans, Bouchard and Goehrke have been out on not just one, but several dates since last year's Super Bowl wager.
TMZ reported that the pair have been to the beach together, and have also posted pics hanging out at one of their homes.
Given that Bouchard is a professional tennis player and Goehrke is a student at Missouri University, if any campus film I've ever seen is anything to go by, that means he'd have a roommate with a backwards baseball cap rummaging around somewhere in the background, looking for his beer pong equipment if it was his gaff.
And now not only are the pair set for their latest date but, if Genie's Twitter account is to be believed, they'll be heading back to where it all began - The Super Bowl.
OMG. Back to where it all began?! And with the @Patriots too?! I'm in! What do you say @punslayintwoods? https://t.co/6Pfh7QNjtm

The couple were invited by NFL Canada to attend the Super Bowl, which will see the New England Patriots (again) take on the Philadelphia Eagles on 4th February.
Most people have reacted positively to GoeChard's big news, although some expressed confusion and just a little bit of jealousy. Not certain 'GoeChard' will catch on, to be honest, but you never know.
I for one am happy for them, though. To celebrate the fact, I'm going to see if Aisling Bea will go out with me in the event that Woking beat Fylde in the National League this weekend.
She almost certainly will. Maybe.
