Manchester United fans are convinced Paul Pogba will stay at the club after he was seen copying Bruno Fernandes' trademark celebration during their opening day win against Leeds.

The in-form French midfielder produced a masterclass against Marcelo Bielsa's side during Saturday's Premier League clash, picking up a mightily impressive four assists in the 5-1 thrashing.

Goals from Bruno Fernandes (3), Mason Greenwood and Fred sealed all three points at Old Trafford but for many, the top-notch performance of Pogba was seen as the biggest takeaway.

As he seems to be when every transfer window rolls around, the 28-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from United this summer, with Real Madrid and PSG reportedly interested.

Rumours continue to swirl regarding how settled he is at Old Trafford but it's clear as day that the World Cup winner is enjoying his football right now.

In fact, in a moment that brought plenty of excitement amongst the United fanbase, Pogba was spotted copying Fernandes' 'hands over ears' celebration shortly after the Portuguese international scored.

After the full-time whistle, a delighted Fernandes waxed lyrically about Pogba in a passionate post-match interview.

"We know the quality of Paul [Pogba], that is not for discussion," he said. "We know what he can do, and we saw that today. He is working for us and we know he can make this performance.

"Every season I want to be better than the last one, so with every goal and performance, I want to do better. I have started with three goals, but there is a long way to go.

"We know the quality of the players who come in now, the team was already good and we saw that last season, even though we did not achieve the trophies.

"The team is growing up and now we try to do better.

"The statement today was against Leeds now and the next game will be against Southampton, so we will focus by game. We can do something with this mentality."

Can Pogba and Fernandes lead United to the Premier League title this season or is that too much to ask?
