Former Manchester United boss David Moyes made Marouane Fellaini his main summer signing during his first and only season at the club.

The 55-year-old former Everton manager signed the Belgian midfielder from the Toffees for £27.5m in 2013, a move that many Red Devils fans still have mixed feeling about to this date.

Now, Moyes has made a bold claim about the 31-year-old United star.

"He's got fantastic chest control, like you can't believe how good his chest control is," he told talkSPORT.

"I would say he's the best in the world with controlling with his chest. It sticks, it's soft. He's a problem to the opposition."

Of course, social media users have flocked to Twitter to question his comments.

"[Fellaini] is a player with great ability and strength and I think he will make a real difference to our squad," Moyes said in 2013.

"He can play higher up, if we need it, behind the striker or as a defensive or holding midfielder. In any position in the middle of the field he's comfortable.

"Because of that I think it's definitely a position where people have said we've been short of numbers, with the likes of Paul Scholes [retiring] and Darren Fletcher not ready to come back just now. I felt we needed to strengthen there and I'm glad we got him."

Moyes recently revealed that a former Bayern Munich star had agreed to come to United in 2013, though things didn't turn out as planned.

Fellaini, who sent the internet into chaos after he had his signature afro chopped off, signed a new two-year contract with the club back in June.

"I am pleased to be continuing my journey as a Manchester United player," he said at the time.

"I made this decision because I am very happy here. Also, I feel like this team, under José, still has a lot we want to achieve."

Is Fellaini underrated?
