Messi Vs. Ronaldo In The Premier League: Fans Are Dreaming Of A Monster Manchester Derby

Football fans are dreaming at the prospect of a Manchester derby with Lionel Messi at City and Cristiano Ronaldo at United.

Both Messi and Ronaldo could be leaving Barcelona and Juventus, respectively, at the end of the season with their future in doubt.

The Argentine superstar appears set to see out his contract following a bitter summer dispute while the Portuguese ace may end up leaving Turin with his club looking to balance their books.

Judging by recent reports, the pair of serial Ballon d'Or winners could both be plying their trade in the Premier League next season.

And the thought of Messi and Ronaldo renewing their legendary rivalry in England's top flight has got supporters excited on social media.

One Twitter user wrote: "Messi at City Ronaldo at United. One last dance. Yes please."

A second tweeted: "Ronaldo back to United, Messi to City. They'll make a Netflix documentary about it. The beautiful game."

A third added: "Messi to Manchester City. Ronaldo to Manchester United. Rivalry at its peak."

Messi and Ronaldo dueled for nine years in La Liga before the ex-United man moved to Juventus in 2018.

They had some epic battles with a Champions League group stage meeting on the cards in December.
