Miss Of The Season: Matt Ritchie Blasts Over From Five Yards Out Against Burnley

Matt Ritchie has had an absolute shocking moment in Newcastle United's match with Burnley.

The ball had been passed into the path of the 29-year-old Scotland international, who missed an open net from only five yards out.

The former Portsmouth and Bournemouth player had the opportunity to extend the Magpies' lead to 3-1, but now he's probably hoping that football fans soon forget about what could be one of the worst misses in Premier League history.

Unsurprisingly, fans have taken to Twitter and are absolutely baffled by what they have seen from Ritchie.
