Manchester City are probably going to wrap up the title with several games to spare, but a defeat against their bitter rivals Manchester United this afternoon was too much for some emotional supporters.

It was an absolute whirlwind for both sets of supporters on Saturday evening. Two first half goals from Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan looked to have finished the tie, but Paul Pogba bagged two goals in a matter of minutes to get it back to 2-2.

Chris Samlling then got on the end of an Alexis Sanchez cross to complete the historic comeback and it clearly got a little bit too much for some Manchester City fans after the final whistle blew.

Sky Sports managed to capture a number of supporters crying after the devastating result.

Even though the probability of winning the title with so many games to spare is highly likely. One fan in particular couldn't contain his emotions.

Here are are a number of pictures from the montage.

Other than this afternoon's result, City have had truly staggering season. Pep Guardiola's side have broken record after record in the past seven months and today could have been the earliest date the Premier League title has ever been won.

They made the best ever start to a top-flight season in England when they recorded a 15th straight victory and since, the club have lost just two games in 32.

Leroy Sane has proved to be one of Guardiola's best signings, while the old guard Vincent Kompany, Sergio Aguero and David Silva have continued to shine, week in week out.

They've also defended superbly throughout, with Kyle Walker, Benjamin Mendy and Danilo slotting in perfectly after the departures of Pablo Zabaleta, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna.

The fact that Manchester United didn't manage a single shot on target in the first 45 minutes says it all.

But they came out on top in the end, in what was a memorable fixture.
