Sad news.

West Ham's oldest season ticket holder Mabel Arnold has sadly passed away at the age of 102.

Arnold wasn't just your average West Ham supporter. When asked about her 100th birthday celebrations, she replied ""I'd rather have three points than a telegram from HM The Queen!".

Now that is dedication.

At the age of 102, Mabel was certainly one of West Ham United's oldest supporters but what made her affiliation with the club special is the fact she spent 84 consecutive years as a season ticket holder.

The chant "We've got Arnold - Mabel Arnold, I just don't think you understand" rang out at the Boleyn Ground on her 100th birthday as the Hammers recorded a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace.

It was a special moment.

Mabel was even pictured with West Ham goalkeeper Adrian, who himself was celebrating his 100th appearance for the club.

Many people took to social media to pay tribute to Mabel, who spent her 101th birthday with former manager Slaven Bilic and a number of players.

Former West Ham striker Marlon Harewood was just one of many to pay their respects, saying:

"Very sad news to hear of Mabel's passing this morning! It was an honour to have met such a great woman RIP."

Rest in peace.
