A Compilation Of Prime Fernando Torres When He Was The 'Best Striker In The World' Is Next Level

"Torres in a long sleeve with a thin headband… Game was over before it even started," one fan said. The former Liverpool striker was deadly.

A fan has created a compilation to highlight how prime Fernando Torres was "unstoppable" and was once the 'best striker in the world.'

Torres, 38, was in his element during his time at Liverpool and became a fan-favourite during his four years at Anfield.

However, the Spanish former striker wasn't able to replicate his Liverpool form during his spells at Chelsea, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid (second time around) and Sagan Tosu.

Liverpool fans, on the other hand, can look back with enjoyment at when Torres tore apart the Premier League and caused a real headache for Manchester United legend Nemanja Vidic.

YouTuber Hughes98 uploaded a compilation of the former Liverpool star's deadly goalscoring prowess, which has already racked up over 3m views on YouTube.

Liverpool fans were buzzing to see Torres' best bits in front of the net and lauded him for his exquisite finishing.

"Torres in a long sleeve with a thin headband... Game was over before it even started," one fan said.

Someone else posted: "Torres in his prime was like he got some superpower, the speed, the strength, the vision, striking power and accuracy, and most of all the scoring mentality."

A third pointed out: "Not even one tap-in or one penalty. Damn, he just loves solo scoring by himself. So good."

And a fourth added: "This man was the reason I started watching [football] and playing FIFA. Where's his statue?"

One fan insisted that Torres' "problems started immediately after he cut his flying hair."

Torres left Liverpool without capturing any major silverware, but 'El Nino' scooped several individual accolades.

The former Spain international was named twice in both the PFA Team of the Year and FIFPro World XI, along with finishing third for the Ballon d'Or in 2008.

Torres captured silverware during his spell at Chelsea as he lifted the FA Cup, Champions League and Europa League.

The Liverpool legend also relished in silverware during Spain's dominance on the international stage, winning the Euros twice and the World Cup in 2010.
