Granit Xhaka appeared to tell Arsenal fans to "f**k off" after he was booed by his own supporters during their Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.
Xhaka was substituted in the 61st minute to thunderous boos and he responded by gesturing then cupping his ears to the home crowd.
He then whipped off his shirt before furiously walking down the tunnel.
Here's how social media reacted to the Xhaka incident.
Arsenal fans also had their say on their club captain.
Arsenal squandered a two-goal as Palace hit back to draw 2-2 on Sunday. Sokratis Papastathopoulos gave the hosts an early lead before David Luiz doubled their advantage.
Palace pulled one back through Luka Milivojević (penalty) and then drew level thanks to Jordan Ayew.
Sokratis thought he had scored the winner in the 83rd minute but his goal was disallowed by VAR.
