Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has publicly slated his 99-rated pro player card on FIFA 21, calling it "sh*t" during a live stream on Twitch.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper, who owns eSports team DUX Gaming with Real Betis striker Borja Iglesias, was speaking to popular FIFA streamer Jack 'PieFace23' McDermott about the popular game.
And during the Twitch stream, where Courtois and McDermott were playing virtual F1, the Belgian number one explained why he uses his Team of the Week card in between the sticks instead of his 99-rated pro card.
If you're unfamilar with the 99-rated 'pro' card, then let me explain. The stats from a player's default card are believed to receive a huge boost in order to provide the professional player with an overpowered version of themselves.

That being said, Courtois is far from impressed with the one EA Sports gave him. In fact, he refuses to use it.
"The 99 card is sh*t. Instead of making it better, they just put 99 but make it, like, 59." he told McDermott, who burst into laughter moments later.
"I don't know." Courtois continued. "It doesn't seem great to be fair."
Courtois isn't the only player to react badly to their FIFA card. Back in September, just days after the official release, Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku hit out at EA Sports for their latest batch of player ratings.
In fact, Lukaku accused EA of messing with the ratings so "we players start complaining about the game and give them more publicity.

He also complained about EA's decision to give him 81 pace. "81 pace bruh did they see my goal against Shakthar Donetsk...the f*** is wrong with them..."
Thoughts on Lukaku's theory? Are EA messing with the ratings so players start complaining about the game to give them more publicity? And what do you think of Courtois' comments about the pro card?
