Ashley Young has always played down the rumour that a pigeon defecated in his mouth on the opening day of the 2014/15 season.
In an interview with The Guardian a few years back, the Manchester United defender said the following about the incident against Swansea City:
"I can, 100%, absolutely confirm it was not bird poo. But I'd love to know who put that video out and how they did it. Or what my reaction might have been if it actually was."
It may be a fabricated tale but Young, who joined Manchester United in 2011, has been reminded on a number occasions of this now infamous incident, including a more recent call-out from a teammate.

Jesse Lingard is the latest person to aim a not-so-subtle dig at the 33-year-old after a pigeon casually made its way onto the King Power pitch on Sunday afternoon.
"Absolute Animal Out There Today  Glad @youngy_18 Stayed Away :eyes::poop:" he said on Instagram.
Now that is savage.
The pigeon wasn't fazed by what was happening on the pitch, stopping to graze on grass on a number of occasions as Manchester United picked up all three points thanks to a goal from Marcus Rashford in the 9th minute.
