Jack Grealish's Reaction To Finding Out He Will Wear Number 10 For Manchester City Is Wonderful

Footage has captured the wholesome moment Jack Grealish found out he would be wearing the number 10 shirt for Manchester City.

It was announced on Thursday afternoon that the England international had finally completed a record-breaking £100 million move to Premier League champions City from boyhood club Aston Villa.

After months of speculation, the 25-year-old midfielder, who made 213 appearances for the Villains over eight seasons, penned a mammoth six-year deal at the Etihad worth a reported £300,000-a-week.

Shortly after the deal was announced, it was confirmed via the club's website that Grealish would sport the No. 10 jersey in the coming months - the same number he wore at his former club.

He inherits the shirt from club legend Sergio Aguero, who famously wore the number between 2015 and 2021 before joining Barcelona.

So how did he react to the news? Footage has since emerged of Grealish entering the dressing room before spotting his new number for the first time. "I didn't even know I was going to be number 10!" he beamed.

Grealish added: "Oh that's made my day. Actually, that's made my year."

In his first interview as a Manchester City player, the Birmingham-born midfielder said playing under the best manager in the world was something he couldn't turn down.

"When I came here this morning I had a long chat with him (Guardiola) about positions. It was all football," he told City's official website.

"It was such a positive chat. It shows why I want to play under him.

"I have heard nothing but good words about him from the lads at England and I can't wait to get started.

"In the end, it was something I couldn't turn down. Let's hope it's a successful one."
