Following the reports linking Chelsea with a move for Peter Crouch, almost instantly an old Tweet about the giant striker from the Premier League champions surfaced.

And it's very, very awkward.

Antonio Conte is after a target man. After missing out on Fernando Llorente in the summer, the club have since been linked with West Ham's Andy Carroll, and now Crouch.

And ahead of a potential loan bid being tabled, an old Tweet from Chelsea's official account has been doing the rounds.

It's from the 2010/11 league campaign, which reads: "Crouch is coming one. Route one here we come. #CFC"
