It was a perfect day for Manchester City and Chelsea on Saturday.
Both teams sent a message to their title rivals with emphatic wins against Crystal Palace and Stoke City. Pep's side went top on goal difference and Antonio Conte left the Britannia with a smile on his face.
But a moment of madness shortly after the 3pm kick-offs had finished was the biggest talking point for a short period.

It involved John Stones and an unfortunate Instagram post that quickly went viral.

In a strange set of circumstances, Stones congratulated Alvaro Morata on his hat-trick against Stoke City, while posting a picture of the Chelsea team celebrating.
The post was soon removed from Instagram, but as we all know by now, Twitter has a great knack of exposing mistakes with a simple screenshot.

So why did he do it?
According to The Mirror, both the social media accounts of John Stones and fellow England international Gary Cahill are managed by the same person.
So clearly he didn't switch accounts and posted the picture and caption on the wrong Instagram page.
