Daniel Sturridge Studs Alphonse Areola Right In The Balls

Wrong ball, Daniel...

Liverpool found the back of the net for the third time in the second-half thanks to Mohamed Salah, but the goal was ultimately disallowed following Sturridge's foul on Paris Saint-Germain keeper Alphonse Areola.

The Liverpool striker collided with Areola, studding him right in the package. It wasn't pleasant.

Needless to say, it sent social media into overdrive. Here's some reaction from Twitter:

Sturridge did, though, get on the score-sheet on his first ever Champions League start for Liverpool. He headed home his sides opening goal in the 30th minute.

He was eventually substituted in the 70th minute for Roberto Firmino.
