That's it. The tournament has already peaked and we have only just begun.
As fans dusted off their goosebumps after Andrea Bocelli's incredible rendition of Nessun Dorma, a Volkswagen-branded remote control car scurried across the Stadio Olimpico to deliver a match ball for the opening game of Euro 2020.
It was an utterly bizarre, but hilarious scene ahead of Italy's clash against Turkey on Friday night.
As you can imagine, plenty on social media reacted to the baffling scenes before kick-off.
That's it, the tournament has peaked, someone managed to create a dumb remote control sponsored car for the ball. pic.twitter.com/ypDbsMaCz6

Nothing, I repeat nothing that happens on the pitch for the duration of #EURO2020 will beat the match ball being delivered in a remote controlled car. Already Man Of The Match. pic.twitter.com/z7m4tnylne

Absolutely GONE at this remote control car.
I love football. So much.

Italy have dominated in the early stages against Şenol Güneş' side, and the home side would have been in front had it not been for a wonderful stop from Turkey goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır in the opening minutes after a powerful Giorgio Chiellini header.
That being said, the main topic of conversation has been that remote control car.
I'm well and truly HERE for remote control car deliveries of Footballs.
Make it the norm NOW.

Should they bring a remote car delivery to the Premier League and beyond?
Let us know in the comments.
