Proof That Alexis Sanchez Has Always Dreamed Of Playing For United

The Chilean has completed a move to United.

Alexis Sanchez has fulfilled his dreams of becoming a Manchester United player.

As a young lad growing up in South America, he fantasied of running out at Old Trafford and last night his dreams became reality after finally completing a transfer to United.

He was embroiled in a transfer tug of war between United and City, with Jose Mourinho eventually snapping up the Chilean ace.

And an image of Sanchez sporting a United trackie top has surfaced, instantly going viral while proving that he's admired the club from a young age.

Once the switch was signed, sealed and delivered; Sanchez spoke to the club, revealing he's always dreamed of playing for United.

"Since I was a young lad I've always said that my dream was to play for Manchester United," he said.

It's suggested that he's gone for the money. But Sanchez insists that is not the case.

"And I'm not just saying that because I'm here now and today it's come true. I always said as a kid that I'd like to play for United and I once spoke to Sir Alex Ferguson about it. We chatted for around 20 minutes.

"And I told him that my dream was to come here to Manchester United. It really is a massive club, very powerful, and so now, when I got the opportunity to come here, I looked at the badge and my hairs just stood up on end because it's a powerful club and the biggest in England.

Sanchez will don the iconic No.7 shirt previously worn by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Cantona and David Beckham, among others.

The huge number gives him the added motivation to lift silverware.

"When they told me that Cristiano, Cantona, David Beckham had all worn it, just thinking about that number seven sets you off dreaming in your head with ideas about lifting the Champions League trophy and winning the Premier League title.

"So yes, I'm fulfilling a dream and I hope to give my very best and win many trophies at this club," Sanchez added.

So, there you have it - a dream come true for Sanchez.
