Mesut Ozil has reportedly signed a new bumper deal with Arsenal that will see the German playmaker increase his current £140,000-a-week wage and receive his favoured number 10 as his new shirt number.
Gunners fans have been waiting with bated breath for the former Real Madrid man to sign a new deal, with his current contract expiring in 2018. Ozil put discussions on hold last season, instead opting to focus on Germany's Euro 2016 campaign over the Summer, amid interest from Barcelona.
Barca's rumoured interest, however, hasn't been enough to deter Ozil from putting pen to paper on a new deal, although Bild haven't reported how long the extension is for, they do confirm that the World Cup winner is inheriting Jack Wilshere's number 10 shirt, after the England international departed for a season-long loan at Bournemouth.

The next piece of business the Gunners board are hoping to conduct is getting Alexis Sanchez to follow suit and also extend his contract at the Emirates Stadium.
