Mario Balotelli is set to return to football, with a move to Serie B side Monza said to be on the cards.
The striker is currently without a club after leaving Brescia on bad terms following their relegation to the Italian second tier last term.
He had been training with Serie D side Franciacorta and there were some surprise links to Championship side Barnsley that petered out.
However, the reliable Fabrizio Romano says the former Manchester City and Liverpool man is poised to move to Monza, who are eighth in the Italian second tier.

Should he pass his medical and the transfer go ahead, the 30-year-old will link up with former AC Milan teammate Kevin Prince-Boateng.
Their owner is also long-time Rossoneri head honcho and former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
His stint at Brescia, his hometown club, ended in sour fashion over the summer.

Having been ill with gastroenteritis and forced to missed several days of training, he then received all clear by doctors to return and emailed the club with documentation saying he was well.
But because his email came out of working hours and no one was at the club to process his medical forms, he was turned away from training.
The former Marseille and Nice man then saw his contract terminated.
