Leeds Boss Marcelo Bielsa 'Lies Naked On Tables For 30 Minutes' After Defeats

Bielsa in the Premier League promises to be something special...

Marcelo Bielsa has a tendency to take his clothes on as part of his routine when his teams lose, according to two players that played under him.

The Argentine manager is known for being wildly eccentric and memorably gave an incredible tactical lecture to journalists in his press conference following the spygate scandal with Derby County last season.

But his antics include habits much more bizarre than that. According to Mark Gonzalez and Jose Pedro Fuenzalida, who both played under him when he was Chile manager, Bielsa decided to get naked and lie on top of the treatment table for half an hour following a loss to Ecuador.

Speaking on Abrazo de Gol, Gonzalez recalled: "Bielsa entered the dressing room." He was really hot, walking up and down, not speaking with anybody.

"There was another dressing room next to us and he was there.

"We walked in and he was completely naked, laying on top of a treatment table like someone was going to perform surgery on him.

"He was there for about 30 minutes, totally naked."

This wasn't a one-off, as Fuenzalida also experienced Bielsa removing his clothes in anger following a narrow loss to Italy.

As per talkSPORT, he added: "It happened to me several times. We lost a final 1-0 to Italy playing well and missing a lot of players.

"He even fought with the Italy manager. He went to the dressing room angry, and when we entered he was going mad walking around and taking off his clothes."

Bielsa might have ended up nude after a number of games this term, having seen his Leeds side succumb to nine defeats this season.

But more importantly, he has led the White back into the Premier League with two games to spar after amassing a club-record 87 points - and the prospect of 'El Loco' managing in the top flight next term is incredibly exciting.
