Romelu Lukaku was snapped up for a massive £75 million in the summer, and he's now worth a shitload according to a football study from The CIES Football Observatory.
The 24-year-old signed for Manchester United for an initial £75 million, potentially rising to £90 million, from fellow Premier League side Everton.
And while it appeared United had overpaid for his services, figures show the strikers transfer value has increased by an estimated 54%.

CIES claim Lukaku's transfer value is a massive £140 million which has increased by nearly £50 million.

They back up their findings by saying the following: "Beyond inflation, expensive transfers to other teams, contract extensions and top level performances are the key reasons underlying the strongest increases observed."
