Luka Modric is set to be awarded the 2019 Golden Foot - a prestigious individual award that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have yet to win.
The Golden Foot award is handed out to the best performing players over the age of 29 and it's in its 17th year.

Past winners include Ronaldo Nazário, Ronaldinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, among many others. But both Messi and Ronaldo have failed to be crowned the Golden Foot winner.
Though Modric, who won the 2018 Ballon d'Or, will be awarded the Golden Foot according to Spanish outlet Marca.
The Croatian midfielder has had an underwhelming past 12 months, but he'll add one of the sport's most coveted awards to his trophy cabinet at a ceremony in Monaco on Thursday.

This year presenters Jose Altafini, Paulo Roberto Falcao, Carolina Morace and Patrick Vieira will hand the 34-year-old Real Madrid man the accolade.
