Leicester City Secure Two Influential Members Of Premier League Triumph To New Deals

The Premier League champions - still weird writing that - have tied down two of their title winning staff to new deals.

The Foxes have announced that both Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh have signed new contracts with the club. The success in their respective positions have seen them rewarded to new contracts, as confirmed by the club.

Shakespeare has played a leading coaching role with the club since 2011, while recruitment specialists, isn't he just, Walsh has been responsible for the signings of some of their main stars.

Following Claudio Ranieri's appointment, the Italian retained the existing coaching staff instead of bringing in his own people. The underrated maneuver gave familiarity to the players while smoothly transitioning into the new season.


Speaking to the official clubs website, Ranieri underlined the importance of both coaches;

"Craig and Steve have been very important to this and I am very pleased to have had their support in understanding the players and helping them to understand my philosophy."

The likes of Jamie Vardy, Riyad Mahrez and N'Golo Kante were identified by Walsh, whom have produced incredible performances week-in-week-out. All three were included in the Premier League team of the season as the trio were also recognised for individual honours.

After securing the services of two important coaches, they'll now look to keep their keys players for next season's title defense.
