The Premier League’s 50 All-Time Greatest Central Midfielders Have Been Ranked

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has been named the best central midfielder in Premier League history ahead of Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes.


However, Read Premier League ranked the legendary Irishman top of its list for the best CM of all time in the league's history.

The publication said that Keane was the 'driving force behind a brilliant Manchester United side during his 12-year stay at Old Trafford.'

Read Premier League continued to praise the former Nottingham Forest star for his 'winning mentality' and his 'excellent leadership skills.'

Gerrard and Lampard finished second and third respectively, while Patrick Vieira came fourth and Scholes rounded off the top five.
