OH MY GOD.

Ladies and gentlemen, we must stress that Andrea Pirlo will grace the pitch for the last time on May 21, so bring a few tissues along for the ride because trust me, you're going to need them.

Pirlo, who has forged a legendary career after spells at Juventus, AC Milan and Inter, will host one of the most star studded testimonials of all time at the San Siro later this month.

To put things into perspective, Gianluigi Buffon, Dida, Cafu, Fabio Cannavaro, Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Costacurta, Mauro Camoranesi, Gennaro Gattuso, Frank Lampard, Rui Costa and Clarence Seedorf have all been confirmed.

All of the strikers have yet to be announced as of yet, but Francesco Totti and Alessandro Del Piero will apparently appear at the game.

All the proceeds from the game will go to charity, according to a report from Goal.

Here's the line up for Andrea Pirlo's testimonial in full:

Goalkeepers: Buffon, Dida, Storari, Abbiati.

Defenders: Adani, Barzagli, Bonera, Bonucci, Cannavaro, Cafu, Chiellini, Costacurta, Favalli, Ferrara, Grosso, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Lichtsteiner, Maldini, Materazzi, Nesta, Oddo, Serginho, Simic, Zambrotta.

Midfielders: Albertini, Ambrosini, Baronio, Brocchi, Camoranesi, De Rossi, Diamanti, Gattuso, Lampard, Leonardo, Marchisio, Pepe, Perrotta, Rui Costa, Seedorf, Verratti, Diana.

715 games, 116 Italy caps and 18 trophies later, the former midfielder has come a long way since making his Serie A debut for Brescia against Reggiana in May, 1996, but his playing days are all but over,

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Pirlo admitted that "the time has come":

"You realise that the time has come. Every day you have physical problems, you cannot train as you want because you always have some problem.

"At my age, that's enough. It's not that you can go on forever until the age of 50. I'll do something else.

"At 38, it's just right to give young players room. I'm not angry. Instead, I will give a hand to team-mates and to the coach."

We will miss you, Andrea.
