Arsenal had a night to forget on Sunday in particular Kieran Tierney who produced an embarrassing moment during their defeat to Aston Villa.

In the opening stages of the game, Tierney hilariously "malfunctioned" as he hit the deck.

The Scottish left-back appeared set to pass the ball back to his teammate with Ollie Watkins chasing him down.

But the Arsenal man completely lost his body as he contorted wildly before falling to the ground and losing possession.

A bizarre moment which sent fans on social media wild including Gary Lineker.

One Twitter user wrote: "Tierney fully just malfunctioned."

A second tweeted: "TiErNeY iS tHe BeSt LeFt BaCk In LoNdOn."

A third added: "The ghost of Jock Stein slide tackling tierney for leaving Celtic."

Another wrote: "I Iove Kieran Tierney but I am absolutely hooting and hollering."

Tierney and Co were thrashed by Villa who ran out 3-0 winners at the Emirates.

They went behind in the 25th minute when Bukayo Saka scored an own goal.

In the second-half, Watkins bagged a brilliant brace, scoring two well worked team goals in the space of three minutes.

The Gunners sit in 11th place eight games into the Premier League campaign.

Dean Smith's side, meanwhile, move up to sixth with 15 points on the board with a game in hand.
