Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown's combined Liverpool-Manchester United XI won't go down well with the Anfield faithfuls.

Ahead of the Premier League clash, Keown believes only two Liverpool players make the cut.

Liverpool's leaky defence has already conceded 12 league goals, with West Ham and Crystal Palace the only teams with a worse record.

So, needless to say, none of Liverpool's back five get a mention in his combined XI.

"My combined team may be Manchester United heavy, but I cannot pick a single member of Liverpool's back five," Keown told Daily Mail in his column.

"Only West Ham and Crystal Palace have conceded more times in the Premier League than Liverpool this season."

Dejan Lovren has been subject to intense criticism for his performances in the heart of the defence, and Keown pin-points his outing against Newcastle United.

"Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip looked pedestrian in their last match when Newcastle played a ball over the top."

While praising United's attack, suggesting Romelu Lukaku - who's scoring for fun since his transfer from Everton - and Marcus Rashford could have a field day.

"When Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford are off and running there is no catching them and they have to be in this team," Keown added.

He's selected the players available to Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho with both Paul Pogba and Sadio Mane ruled out through injuries.

So, just Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah on current form get into his side.

What do you make of Keown's combined Liverpool-United XI?

Is it about right? If not - what changes would you make? Let us know.
