Jurgen Klopp's List Of Excuses As Liverpool Manager Is Incredibly Long

Jurgen Klopp's List Of Excuses As Liverpool Manager Is Incredibly Long

Jurgen Klopp has had his fair share of excuses since taking the Liverpool job in 2015.

Jurgen Klopp has won both the Champions League and Premier League during his tenure at Liverpool but he's also made a whole lot of excuses.

In February, prior to the 4-1 defeat to Manchester City at Anfield, Roy Keane made a point of criticising the German when he said, "There's been plenty of excuses from the manager."

But the Irishman certainly has a point. Following that game, Klopp blamed "cold feet" for Alisson's two horrendous, costly errors.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "There's not a real explanation for it, maybe he had cold feet or something.

"I know it sounds funny but it could be but then there's still the opportunity to kick it in the stands.

"But, again, Ali has saved our life plenty of times, no doubt about that, and tonight he made two mistakes. That's how it is."

In the past, he's used the weather on a whole host of occasions - claiming wind, snow and heat has had a negative effect on his side.

There was also the time he said BT Sport ordered a game against West Brom to finish earlier than he wanted, while his latest complaint was regarding Real Madrid's stadium.

The Reds were beaten 3-1 in the Champions League quarter final first leg at the 6,000 capacity Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium on Tuesday.

Real have been playing the whole season at the B team's ground due to renovation work taking place at the Santiago Bernabeu and Klopp had a strange dig post-match.

Klopp said: "It was strange tonight because of the stadium and the situation but Anfield is at least a proper stadium - that will be good for us."

Excuses like that have been anything but an anomaly from Klopp, who even has a thread dedicated to some of the best ones he has come up with.
