Jesse Lingard's debut for West Ham United was a dream one, with the Manchester United loanee scoring twice away at Aston Villa.

Sent on loan to the Hammers after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford, Lingard made his mark at Villa Park.

Tomas Soucek continued his red-hot goalscoring form by opening the scoring early into the second half and then Lingard opened his account five minutes later.

Michail Antonio picked him out with a lovely pass and Lingard, aided by some slack goalkeeping, found the net with his left foot.

His euphoric celebration, a knee-slide, showed just what it meant to the 28-year-old after all he's been through in recent times.

A beaming Lingard was mobbed by his teammates, with Declan Rice sharing a wonderful embrace with him.

Lingard played with a real swagger and gave skipper Jack Grealish the run-around in the first half.

After Grealish had pulled one back for the hosts, Lingard sealed the win with a second strike in the 83rd minute.
