Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards took the punditry game into a very different place on CBS Sports last night.

In addition to their exploits on Sky Sports, the pair are regulars for the American broadcaster's Champions League coverage and have provided incredible entertainment.

But while both former players can be analytical and opinionated when they want to be, it's their far from serious antics that really makes this show so brilliant.

Having watched Bayern Munich vs Paris Saint-Germain and Porto vs Chelsea, Richards and Carragher ended up getting out of their seats and imitating a dance the former and teammate Ishmael Miller did after he scored with the last kick of the game against Everton in 2006.

After they were done showing their hips don't lie, a replay on the big screen showed a young Richards performing an acrobatic celebration in Manchester City colours.

Egged on by Kate Abdo, Alex Scott, Carragher and the producer, Richards ended up doing cartwheels after initially backing down.

"Do that!" Carragher said.

Not having it, Richards responded by saying, "I'm not attempting to do that here. No chance!"

But then Carragher managed to convince his punditry partner.

The Liverpool legend stated: "Come on, do a cartwheel or something! If the suit goes, I'll buy you a new one."

Some serious athletic ability was displayed by Richards, who also did his best Kylian Mbappe impression when the French sensation scored one of his two strikes against Bayern Munich.

Incredible scenes.

Together, both Carragher and Richards have been producing gold for the stateside audience and CBS' decision to sign them up as a duo has been a complete and utter masterstroke.

There's always a barrel of laughs but the two are not afraid of giving it to the other.

Last month, Carragher completely shut down Richards on air when he said, "You wouldn't know, you've never won the Champions League,"

But the following week, Richards hit back when he flaunted his Premier League medal - a prize Carragher never collected in his career.

"That's the closest you'll ever get!'" Richards quipped as he placed the medal on the table.
