Iker Casillas has hailed Lionel Messi as the greatest footballer ever to live after he produced another moment of magic for Barcelona.
The Blaugrana talisman sealed a 1-0 victory in a tight game against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano when he popped up in the 85th minute and beautifully curled one past Jan Oblak after playing a one-two with Luis Suarez.
And Real Madrid legend Casillas, who was watching the game, couldn't help but pay Messi the highest compliment after the game.
The Spaniard spent many years playing with Cristiano Ronaldo but was more than happy to admit that Messi is the best to ever play the game.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone and some of his players were also full of praise for the 32-year old after he ruined them yet again.
Simeone wasn't even angry that his poor record against Barcelona continued due to how good the winning goal was from his compatriot.

"Because with a great goal like that, all you can do is applaud," Simeone said, as per the Evening Standard.
"The move, when the counter-attack started, had the smell of great danger. He scored a 'golazo'."
"Barca handle that situation very well. And they scored a 'golazo'. When [Luis] Suarez and Messi are in a dangerous situation, they rarely fail."
Messi is poised to win a record-breaking sixth Ballon d'Or at a ceremony in Paris today, with the 32-year old tipped to beat Virgil van Dijk and Cristiano Ronaldo to the coveted award.
