Neymar may have endured a slow start to the Olympic Games, with Brazil drawing their opening two games 0-0, but the Selecao and their Captain appear to have hit top form at just the right time, beating Honduras 6-0 in the semi-final, with the Barcelona forward bagging an Olympic record along the way.

Following a mistake by Palacios in the Honduras defence, Neymar capitalised to put Brazil into the lead after just 14 seconds, the quickest goal in tournament history.

The record for the Olympics' fastest ever goal had previously been held by Canada's Janine Becker, who found the net after 19 seconds against Australia.

Neymar added a second late on, with recent Manchester City signee Gabriel Jesus bagging a first half brace and PSG's Marquinhos also finding the net.
