If you're wondering whatever happened to former Arsenal winger Gervinho, he's just scored an absolute gem of a goal.

The former Lille and Roma winger plies his trade with Parma in Serie A these days and opened the scoring against Inter Milan in stunning fashion at the San Siro tonight.

A long pass was lofted his way and the Ivory Coast international raced in behind before producing the most glorious nonchalant volleyed finish into Samir Handanovic's top corner.

This level of skill and composure was a rarity during Gervinho's spell at the Emirates but this goal, his 100th in the league, was utterly scrumptious.

Gervinho wasn't done there though. The 33-year-old helped himself to a second strike to put the visitors 2-0 up in the 62nd minute,

However, Marcelo Brozovic pulled one back for Inter minutes later and the Nerazzurri grabbed a late equaliser through Ivan Perisic.

Gervinho, incidentally, has been heavily linked with a move to Inter in the January transfer window. Manager Antonio Conte was asked about him in his pre-match presser and although he didn't want to discuss it too much, he did praise him.

"I'm not talking about players who are in other teams," Conte said.

"He's an excellent player and is doing very good things, but I have great respect for Parma, for its players and above all for my own players.

"I'm happy with the players I have. I'm not thinking about January, February or March, but about the match tomorrow."
