An ambitious Manchester United fan has organised a fundraiser to try and bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford this summer.

With the transfer window in England officially closing at 11pm on October 5, It looks like this long-running saga isn't going away anytime soon.

Sancho, who scored 20 times and registered 20 assists in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund last season, continues to be linked with a big-money move away from The Westfalenstadion, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side keen to strike a deal.

It was reported last month that United had entered into 'advanced negotiations' with the German club over a move for the highly rated winger, with a £90 million fee being touted.

Borussia Dortmund, however, have since insisted there is 'no chance' the player will leave the club this summer, with the Bundesliga side reportedly saying it is 'set in stone' that Sancho doesn't leave Germany this summer.

But despite it looking more and more unlikely that Sancho will join the ranks at Old Trafford in the coming weeks, United fan Matthew Kelley is keen to do what Ed Woodward hasn't.

Kelley has created a GoFundMe page to try and raise the £108 million needed to bring Sancho to the Premier League and, at the time of writing, he has raised £75.

"Ed Woodward and the glazers aren't competent enough to sign Jadon Sancho when we haven't had a right winger since Nani," Kelley writes.

"I'm sick of seeing that boy Dan James run with the ball like a bull that sees a red flag. I'm raising money for the transfer for Manchester United as they can't afford him for some strange reason..."

In more Sancho-related news, Dortmund manager Lucien Favre claims the player is 'needed' by Dortmund.

"We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final. I think that answers all our questions," he stated.

"Last summer we adjusted the salary to the performance development of Jadon. In this context, we have extended the contract until 2023."

Do you think United will strike a deal with Dortmund for the England international?
