Former Rangers forward Greg Stewart has been tearing it up in the Indian Super League, and scored a stunning free kick for Jamshedpur FC on Sunday.

Stewart fired in a sublime set piece that had plenty of swerve on it, as Jamshedpur shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Kerala Blasters.

The Indian Super League tweeted a video of the goal alongside the caption: "Did we just witness the Goal of the season from Greg Stewart?"

It is a free kick worth watching over and over again, as the Scotsman gave the ball plenty of bent the ball in with his left foot and saw it fly in from the outside of the post.

The goal provoked plenty of reaction on Twitter from Rangers fans, who wished that the 31-year-old had been given more game time at Ibrox.

The striker swapped Glasgow for Jamshedpur after being released by the Scottish champions in September, after two seasons playing for the SPL side.

But he struggled to make an impact in Steven Gerrard's squad, making just 33 appearances in that time and scoring only three goals.

This latest goal had Rangers supporters thinking of what might have been, as one said: "The one that got away," while another added: "I want you back for good."

It appears that Stewart's move to the ISL has paid off though, following an impressive start to his debut season which has seen him score five goals in eight appearances.

Jamshedpur will be hoping for more magic from Stewart when they host Chennaiyin FC on Sunday, and head into the match sitting second in the table.

The team, managed by former Burnley and Bolton boss Owen Coyle, have 13 points from eight league games so far - three adrift of table-topping Mumbai City.
