Look, we've all been there before when we put down a ridiculous accumulator with the hopes of winning the big bucks -- the lottery doesn't offer the same thrill factor -- so it's a pretty surreal moment when all the signs start pointing in the right direction.
One cheeky punter put down £40 on a ten-fold accumulator, with his return coming in at a staggering £89,000 (via the The Sportsman).

Here are the first nine matches that the Betfred customer, who is from Kent, chose and correctly predicted the winners:
- Brentford 2-0 Wigan Athletic
- Rangers 4-0 Dundee
- Macclesfield Town 1-2 Lincoln City
- St Johnstone 1-1 Aberdeen
- Livingston 1-0 Hamilton Academical
- Newcastle United 1-2 Arsenal
- Watford 1-2 Manchester United
- Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur
- Huddersfield 0-1 Crystal Palace
It all came down to the tenth match -- you could probably have cut the tension with a knife -- with the final bet placed on Southampton to beat Brighton on Monday evening.
And that's when the punter went from being on cloud nine to absolute heartbreak.
Pierre-Emile Højbjerg opened the scoring for the Saints and Danny Ings slotted a penalty to double their lead. But then Shane Duffy struck soon after and a stoppage-time penalty from Glenn Murray ended the match in a draw.
Talk about losing it all right at the very end. The punter, who has not been named, must have been left in disbelief.
Betfred was even tweeting about the accumulator, saying that "boss Fred [is] still hiding behind [the] sofa, with Betfred due to pay out £89,000 to [a] Kent shop regular who needs [a] Saints win so his ten-fold section's list accumulator comes in."

You can imagine the Betfred customer won't look at Brighton or Murray in the same light ever again.
