Mohamed Salah made history last night, becoming one of the very few away players to have scored a hat-trick at Old Trafford.

However, what was partially lost in the Egyptian's crowning moment was the through-ball that allowed him to net his third (and Liverpool's fifth) goal in a dominant away win over Manchester United.

With five minutes gone in the second half, Liverpool were still searching to add to their goal tally of four - nobody more so than captain Henderson.

The 31-year-old beautifully curled a through-ball with the outside of his boot, around the static United defenders, and expertly into the path of the on-rushing Salah.

As you might expect, the forward applied the finishing touches with a neat finish past David De Gea, to complete the rout for the away side.

It was a salient reminder of Henderson's often overlooked passing range, which many fans were keen to point out on social media.

A video of the pass, taken from behind De Gea''s goal, shows just how sublime of a ball it was.

Liverpool fans were still lauding the Skipper's through ball on social media the morning after, with some drawing comparisons to a famous assist Steven Gerrard made at Fulham back in 2014.

While the contributions of Henderson may get overlooked from time to time, his pin-point ball for Salah at Old Trafford on Sunday once again highlights his enduring importance to Jurgen Klopp's side.

It was certainly a pass that Gerrard would have been proud of - who's famous assist for Sturridge you can see below.
