Manchester United always felt like a team where leaks wouldn't come out, or at least that's when Sir Alex Ferguson ran the club with an iron fist. Now though they're a club with a stream of rumours, leaks and utter chaos. We love it! We can't imagine Louis van Gaal will.

The Dutchman has often snapped at journalists for reporting the news when it's been negative towards him and especially if it's been anything to do with his future or that of possible incoming manager Jose Mourinho. So how is he going to react to people knowing how much he'll get for winning the FA Cup, should they beat Crystal Palace in the final, or how much if he were to be sacked? We expect not well.

LvG's contract details have been revealed in The Times today and usually in these circumstances someone from inside the club will have had to leak them to the paper in order for the information to come out, whoever's off sick today from United's Carrington training ground...

The former Bayern manager takes home £3.3 million-a-year regardless of performance. On top of that another £4.7 million is made up of performance related bonuses and image rights, As such he's owed £400,000 by the club if United beat Palace on May 21st at Wembley.

Of the £4.7 million Van Gaal gets a £2 million loyalty payment, £1.6 million for image rights and £1.1 million for taking United into the Champions League. For winning the Europa League, which might have to be the Dutchman's fate next season, he would get £400k, the same as the FA Cup.

Of his other potential bonuses he's missed out on £3.2 million for failing to win the Champions League, Premier League and Capital One Cup.

Should Ed Woodward and the United board decide to dispense with Van Gaal's contract despite him having one year left on his deal then they would have to pay him "66 per cent of his existing salary unless he gets another job in football before June 2017." In which case the payments would cease," that works out at roughly £5 million for the final season and is likely considering his insistence, when he first took the job, that it would be his last in football.

According to the report the potential cost of sacking him does not put the club off doing it, although we assume Ed Woodward's ego is putting him off.

He's definitely not going to be too happy seeing this come out, we can't wait for his reply...
